Vertigo
A man is asked to follow a woman he can see but not touch, and is eventually given permission to do exactly that.
The most constructed version of the one-sided bond ever filmed, and a film about the person doing the constructing rather than the person being constructed. Hitchcock understood that the object was never the point.
Application. One-sided attachment put to work on purpose. Creator economies, community, fandom as infrastructure, and the things that genuinely help people. Not automatically good - a tool with an obvious use is a tool that will also get a bad one.
