Convention culture
Fan conventions as a permanent global circuit, with panels, dealers rooms, cosplay and a trade layer.
The first parasocial economy. Panels are a person answering questions from an audience that has paid to be in the room, and the dealers room is the first marketplace that exists because of the bond rather than beside it.
Application. One-sided attachment put to work on purpose. Creator economies, community, fandom as infrastructure, and the things that genuinely help people. Not automatically good - a tool with an obvious use is a tool that will also get a bad one.
